“I am thrilled to be part of Jeff’s Fellowship,” says Gabrielle Lennon. Gabrielle is the author of a collection of short stories, Touch Me Real and Other Stories, as well as After Midnight: A Book of Poetry.
Each season, the Story Summit gathers award-winning professionals to provide intimate, meaningful and productive relationships with screenwriters and authors in an inspiring, immersive and naturally beautiful environment.
“I have received a terrific fellowship from Mr. Arch, but I am still short of my tuition goal to be able to attend the Story Summit this October,” says Gabrielle. "I am hoping that the Story Summit will aid in jumpstarting my writing career so I might have a sustainable future. Anything that you could do would be appreciated. Also the donation is made to the Storyteller Foundation which is a non-profit so donors will be able to take their contribution as a tax deduction.”
“I love writing because it’s one of the few things in life that makes hours seem like minutes. I write like I breathe; it’s something I do naturally, to survive. I strive to connect with the deepest emotional truths in my writing, which emotionally and spiritually nourishes me in the doing and my readers/audiences in the receiving. I seek to be a bridge, doing the work I need to do to understand with my heart and mind what my characters experience, so my readers can.”
Every dollar you contribute to Gabrielle's education is tax deductable!
From the beginning, it was always the word. Through the unique ability to imagine and connect to one another through words, humankind stepped into greatness.
Had it not been for Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables, our hearts may never have known compassion for the poor.
Had it not been for Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin, there may have never have been a civil rights movement.
Had it not been for Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, A Ghost Story, there may never have been the charitable component associated with the holiday.
We need one another. Had Ernest Hemingway not encouraged J.D. Salinger, there may never have been The Catcher in the Rye
The writer’s life can be lonely, so it is important to connect them with professionals who can support them in their storytelling and a lifetime of stories.
We see people, not writers. We are inspired by their passion and their willingness to give themselves up for their story.
We see equal value in all writers. We are dedicated to improving the lives of every storyteller we work with.
We build partnerships around the world with like-minded dreamers interested in building a better tomorrow through the future of storytelling.
The Mission of the Storyteller Foundation is to elevate the human experience through stories that inspire and encourage.
